March 28, 2006
A new article has been posted on the site. For all of you GSC fans, there is now a breeding guide for
you. Check out the GSC Breeding Guide. It was written by n2vz, a member at our forums.
January 12, 2006
Today we have a new affiliate, PokeStop. Check 'em out.
January 10, 2006
Hey check out the new chambers at the forums.
We have now began an Anime Style Battling area. Join today to participate and put your battling
knowledge to a whole different perspective. Also be sure to check out Haunter's new section, Haunter's Haunted House.
We also have a new affiliate, Forport City. Check 'em out.
January 2, 2006
Hope everyone had a great holiday and happy new year!
Haunter has a new section of the site that he is creating on his own. Keep in mind that he has just
started learning the basics. Visit Haunter's Haunted House.
He has also setup his own forums. Check it out!
I'm currently in the process of redesigning the site entirely. I have lots of work to do to update
the site from 2002 to 2006. I'm planning on, in a way, merging GHPF with GHPD. If you have any suggestions,
feel free to post them at the forums.
November 14, 2005
The GHPD Information and History page has been updated with updated information. Expect to see many changes and updates in the weeks to come.
September 5, 2005
Today we have a new affiliate, PokeNightmare.com!
July 9, 2005
Some minor changes have been made in the pokedex. The drop-down menus that list all the pokemon in alphabetical order now do now have the id numbers in front of them. This will allow you to use the keyboard to find a pokemon faster. Just select the menu, then type the first letter of the pokemon you are looking for.
I would also like to announce that the advanced online pokedex is now under major construction. This version will be dynamically created webpages run with PHP and MySQL. I plan to integrate the dex with the forums in some way. Perhaps some features of the dex will only be available to members at GHPF. Nothing is official yet though. I will give out more details about Pokedex 5.0 as they become available.
Suggestions for the pokedex? Please post them at the forums!
June 15, 2005
How is everyone doing? My how time has seemed to fly. So there is going to be a pokemon pearl and diamond I hear? More info to be added in the pokedex...
Anyway, I am now graduated from college with an Associate Degree in Computer Programming and Network Management. I aplogize for not updating like I used to. Life is pretty busy now days. I'm not going to close GHPD or anything. Haunter in now in charge of the forums while I'm developing and working the technical stuff here. The forums are now back up from a database corruption. Darn, I wish we could afford a SQL Server or Oracle database. I used them at school and they are so my better than the MySQL database that our forums are running on. Oh well, that is all our web host offers for the price we pay.
We will be changing our E-mail address soon, as our current addresses are just getting pounded with SPAM and viruses. I'll post it here when I make the change. So if you haven't gotten a reply from me, now you know why. So for now if you have any questions, concerns, comments, etc., send me a private message at the forums.

Gengar Is Back
Hello again everyone! Do you remember me? I just like to take the time to say that Haunter and I are doing well. I am getting close to
graduating from my college where I am studying computer programming. As you might of guessed, I'm looking into being a professional web
developer. I have learned so much in the past year. I look at much of this site and it makes me want to take it up to a new level. In fact if you
are interested, I have been developing a website for a local school as an internship. You can find it at www.sjcs.k12.mo.us . It is real basic
right now nothing quite like GHPD or GHPF, yet.
Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen Released!
Well enough about me for now. Let's get on with the update. Many of you probably already know that today is the release of Pokemon
FireRed/LeafGreen! Find it at a retail near you.
The Upgraded GHPF
Hey have you see the new GHPF? Well it has been upgraded with several new features, improvements, and fixes. Don't think it will stop there,
though I have several more features that I plan to add soon. You can access the forums now at http://ghpf.pokemondungeon.com/ . Aren't a member
yet? Well then you can register there then too. Until next time everyone. Later.
February 1, 2004
Hey there everyone! It has been a long while. School and work has
really limited my time on my computer. Most of the time I am on it is
working on the forums since that is where most of the action is around
here now days. The most common question I get in my email has been of
course "When is the Ruby/Sapphire Pokedex going to be finished?" At
this point, I have no idea. As wrote above, I really haven't had much
free time anymore now days. I have learned a lot from the new forums
and its programming. I am thinking about redoing the dex design to be
more database driven like our forums are. That would really help
organize all the dex info and would be easier to update any errors.
We do have a new affiliate: The
APCC
That is all for now. Later.
August 28, 2003
Over the past month, I have been working on a new pokemon community
forum to replace the Rapidforum one. Well the time has come to
announce that it is ready. The new phpBB version of GHPF is now open!
If you have never posted on a phpBB forum your in for a treat. It is
similar to UBB and vBulletin. It is a much better service than ezboard,
ultraboard, proboards, and Rapidforum ever was. There are no popups or
advertisement banners all over either. Click
here to sign up now for our fifth
installment of our forums. :-) Here is the link to the main page:
http://ghpf.pokemondungeon.com/ If you have any
questions about pokemon or just want to talk with other pokemon fans
and experts, then Gengar and Haunter's
Pokemon Forums are just for you. See you all there! July 18, 2003
Gosh it is hard to believe that it is July
now. This summer is going by fast. Well I have actually being working
at my job at the bowling alley a lot this summer. Much more than I
expected. That is the main reason for lack of updates. Another thing
is I have being playing Sapphire now that I have a GameBoy Player and
Sapphire. I have also been working a lot on the forums. It just keeps
getting popular and popular.
Now for an annoucement. We have a new
affiliate, Psypoke! It has a
great pokedex. You might want to check it out if you need a
Ruby/Sapphire info as well as R/B/Y/G/S/C info too. Speaking (typing?
lol) of Ruby/Sapphire pokedex, ours is coming along. Slowly but
surely. The design is almost complete so a preview of it will be on
the way soon. The forum announcements will
have the link when it is ready. Then you will be able to discuss your
suggestions, error/bug reports, etc. in the GHPD Pokedex
Discussion chamber at GHPF.
Later all. ^_--
May 26, 2003
How have you all been? I know that it has
been a long time. My summer vacation has began so now hopefully, you
can expect more to happen here once again. I had a great school year,
and now that it is over, it is sort of depressing. I never thought I'd
be one to be depressed that my years of high school are now over.
Anyway I have graduated from high school and will be going to college
starting October 6. Also since summer is almost here, the business at
the bowling alley that I work at has began to slow down. Which means I
wont be working there as much. I will definitely use my free time this
summer to work on the site again. I have a lot of making up to do as
I'm sure all you regulars know. I have so many E-mails from all of you
that I still need to read. I'm sorry that I haven't answered
everyone's E-mail over the past few months. I just have so much to do.
Last summer I spent a lot of time working on pokedex 4.1 and this
summer I plan to work on an updated pokedex with the new
Ruby/Sapphire pokemon.
The forums have
really been doing well over the past couple of months. It's hard to
believe how many active members we have now. I have a few things that
I need to work on there as well. December 15, 2002
Wow it been awhile again hasn't it? Of course my school work has been causing
updates to be slow and now just recently, I have started my first job (that is paying) working at a bowling alley.
So my amount of free time is much smaller than before. But don't worry, we aren't closing down the site or
anything, just you will probably notice that there wont be huge updates. But enough of that let's get on to
today's update. I have released an easier offline pokedex download for you all. It is still version 4.0, but with an
automatic installer/uninstaller. So if you already have offline v4.0, and have it installed
correctly, you don't need to download this since it has the exact same files included. I wanted to make it strictly an
.exe file, but I have found that our servers don't allow .exe files directly. I had to put the .exe file into a .zip file. So
yes you will still need WinZip or a similar product
installed.
Pokemon News It seems that Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire have more pokemon than
we originally thought. Instead of 351 total pokemon, there are 386 total pokemon! That's 135 new
creatures.
November 30, 2002
Not really much of an update today. Just
wanted you all to know that I'm still here. I just have been really
busy lately. I'm well aware of how much demand there is out there
for Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire information right now. Maybe some day I'll
get a section up about Ruby/Sapphire. For now if you want some info
about it, check out the Ruby/Sapphire Chamber at
the Forums. Also if you have any info about it, please post it
there.
Pokemon News Nintendo has confirmed that the
official date of release for Ruby/Sapphire is indeed March 17, 2003
for North America as stated on page 132 of the December issue of
Nintendo Power. The official english names for the three
starting pokemon have also been revealed: Torchic (Fire), Treecko
(Grass), and Mudkip (Water).
November 10, 2002 Another big update for you all! This week I have
finished all the percentile pages and all the pages that are sorted by HP.
Check them out here in the new pokemon stats section! I
am also rearranging and updating this page's layout a bit. News Update:
Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are almost available in Japan! Until next
update.
November 3, 2002 Hey there everyone! We have several new Stat Pages
that were added to the new section today. So be sure to check them out, here!
October 27, 2002 Besides the new look for Halloween, we have an
update for you all today! We have for you all the first page of the new Pokemon Stats
section! All the Base Stats are now available to you in one table. There
will be many pages like this one in the future, as you will see in the Pokemon Stats main
page. Tell us your suggestions/comments at the forums or by E-Mailing Us.
October 21, 2002 An update we have today! SJ10689 has updated his
Type Classifications page to version 1.6. He has updated some of the new
pokemon that will be in Ruby/Sapphire with more current info. I am hoping
that I will have some time to work on the Pokemon Stats page this week.
I'm aiming to have it done by the end of this week, but I wont be totally
sure till later on. This Wednesday is the last day of first quarter at
school, so chances are there will be a few tests that I'll need to study
for. Until next time.
October 14, 2002 I thought I'd let you all know that I'm still here.
^_~ I've pretty busy during the past month or so. That is why not much has
been updated here lately. I am working on a new project for you all. The
Pokemon Stat pages. After I get that done and finish the forums, I plan on
getting ready for the next pokedex version. I have lots planned to
added/change in the pokedex in upcoming months. The problem is finding
time to work on it. I hope I can find a way to work it out. In other news,
of course you probably already know that Pokemon the fourth movie (Pokemon
4Ever) is now in theaters. I myself having been able to see it since it
isn't here where I live yet. I heard that there are many places that don't
have it yet. It is strange because usually we get movies the day that it
is released.
The forums are doing quite well. If you still aren't a
member, then you may want to try it out. We also have a chat room if you
are interested in mIRC. The chat server is EnterTheGame and the channel to
access it is #ghpf. Download mIRC at mirc.com. Until next time. Later all. ^_~
September 22, 2002 School sure has impacted this site. Our updates
are now very limited and the number of visitors we get are much lower than
it was in August. It was expected though since most of us are back in
school in the northern hemisphere. Today we have an update from SJ10689.
He has changed the name of his Pokemon Group Classification page into
Pokemon Type Classification page and he has updated it into version 1.5.
Enjoy! ^_~
The forums aren't doing too bad. There is actually
activity going on there at GHPF unlike GHPE had. If you are interested in
talking with us, then this is your chance. Please stop by the forums and
sign-up today (or at least visit us). Until next update.
September 11, 2002 Today is the day of remembrance. We here at GHPD
honor all those who were sacrificed during the attacks of 9/11 of last
year. This update is dedicated to all the victims of the attacks, both to
the innocent people and officials in the line of duty.
September 3, 2002 Okay everyone! GHPF is now opened! Click Here to signup with the new
forums! Both Haunter and I will be there, will you? Gengar and
Haunter's Pokemon Forums
September 2, 2002 Today is more of an annoucement than an update. We
would like to annouce to you all that GHPF will be officially opened
tomorrow! That's right, our new forums will be ready for members to sign
up. The boards aren't going to be completely finished, but it will be
complete enough for posting. Be sure to stop by here tomorrow. Until then,
later. ;-)
August 26, 2002 It has been a real busy week so you may of noticed
the lack of updates. Mostly because school started last Wednesday. This
weekend I was busy as well so unfortunately, I didn't even have a chance
to work on the new forums. So let's see if I can get it ready by this
week. ^_^
Now for today's update. SJ10689 has updated his Pokemon Group Classification page to version 1.38. Be sure to
check it out. Also I updated the splash page. Looks much better. ^_^
August 18, 2002 We are finished with the online pokedex v4.1. To
find out what is new in this version, click here. Also today we have
affiliated with Pokemon
Palace! It is a great site! Be sure to check it out.
August 17, 2002 Well v4.1 of the online pokedex is just about
finished. I plan on releasing it tomorrow or the day after. School will be
starting for Haunter and I on Wednesday, so don't be surprised if the
amount of updates go down. GHPF (our new forums) is still under
construction, but will probably be ready at the end of this week.
August 10, 2002 SJ10689 has updated his Pokemon Group Classification page
to version 1.3. It now has pictures of the pokemon by their names. Also
the new forums are coming along pretty well. The only thing is, we may not
be able to have all the pokemon smiles that I wanted. It seems that there
is a limit to the number of customized smiles. I'll see what I can do
about it. I'm going to try to get it to look like the type of board that
Serebii.net uses, but with our site's look. It probably wont quite be as
good as it, but it should be better than the ezboard we are using now.
School is going to be starting again soon, so I will try to have the board
and version 4.1 of the pokedex done before then. In the meantime, please
continue sending your opinions on the pokedex and anything else here.
August 8, 2002 I have a few new things for you today. You probably
noticed the new banner above made by our affiliate Raichu at
pokemonicons.com. Also SJ10689 has submitted something that you may find
useful, the Pokemon Group Classification page! It groups all the pokemon by their types. Also
includes the types of the new Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon. Meanwhile I
have been taking some time to play my Pokemon Crystal game. Other times I
have been working on Pokedex 4.1, which by the way is coming along very
nicely. It is going to an improvement to v4.0. Also I have been working on
the new forums for this site. It should be ready sometime in the next week
or two. Until then, please continue to e-mail us or post in the ezboard if
you have any questions/comments.
August 4, 2002 I have justed joined another topsite, the Poke
Thunder Topsites! Now then I must go and work on Pokedex 4.1. -_^
August 4, 2002 Wow we have had record hits in the past few days! We
have had 4,500+ hits/day for the last week! It is weird that about a year
ago, we were lucky to get 1000 hits in a week! There have been reported
mistakes/errors in the online pokedex the last few days, all have been
fixed. There will be a patch that I will release probably next week with
those of you who have downloaded pokedex 4.0, that will fix those
mistakes/errors. We have joined another topsite list, PPN Top50!
August 2, 2002 Well it is here! The full version of the downloadable
pokedex v4.0 is now here! Click here to go to the downloads page
now!
July 31, 2002 You knew that it was coming. Well that day is finally
here. The day that Pokedex 4.0 is completed! All 251
R/B/Y/G/S/C Pokemon are now updated to v4.0! I'm so happy!

July 30, 2002 Version 4.0 of the pokedex is nearly complete. We
updated 15 more pokemon today. Tomorrow v4.0 will be completed! Yeah!
July 29, 2002 Back to the pokedex we are. 15 more pokemon updated in
version 4.0. Almost there... 227 down, 24 more to go.
July 27, 2002 I have some updates that aren't to do with the
pokedex! There are two new sections on the site. Be sure to check our a
synopsis and pics of the upcoming movie, Pokemon 4Ever. Sent to us directly from a
representative of Marketing and New Media at Miramax Films! Also sent in
the other day from Mechanism8 was a graph with all the evolved pokemon
and their max stats. Enjoy!
July 26, 2002 I have closed the downloads until August 2, 2002. This
will help make things easier to download the pokedex when v4.0 comes with
all the pokemon. 15 more pokemon have been updated in the pokedex! 212
down, only 39 more to go!
July 24, 2002 Are you surprised? Two big updates right in a row! *_*
Well actually I worked harder today than normal because we were a day
behind schedule. Now we are back on track. Anyhow, 15 more pokemon were
updated in the pokedex. 197 down, 54 more to go.
July 23, 2002 Okay so I counted wrong in the last update. Instead of
15 pokemon, I updated 16 pokemon. Today I made sure to only update 15
pokemon, just like I was suppose to. ^_^ 182 pokemon down. 69 more to
go.
July 21, 2002 Now that the pokedex entries are much smaller, I can
do more a day. So now each time I update the pokedex, 15 pokemon will be
updated instead of the usual 10. Another thing, Haunter is going to be
doing some of the entries from time to time. I may let him do the updates
next time and maybe send out the newsletter. Yesterday someone was kind
enough to e-mail me and notify me that the links in the pokedex weren't
working. Thanks for reporting that in, Sean. Everything should be working
now. Well anyway, Pokemon 152-167 were updated in the online pokedex v4.0
today. Enjoy! -_^
July 18, 2002 I'm sure a lot of you have been waiting for this one.
Today the offline pokedex has been updated. You can now download all the
original 151 pokemon that are from version 4.0 of our online pokedex. If
you are new here, you may want to download version 3.2 first so you will
have all the pokemon then download version 4.0. Click to go to download page.
July 17, 2002 Well we have finally made it past Mew in v4.0 of the
pokedex. You can now use all the original pokemon in v4.0! Now for other
news. I'm sure most of you have read that the official titles of the
future Pokemon Advance game is Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire. Also the
release date for Japan is set on November 21 this year while other
countries will have to wait until 2003. Also this week, many new pokemon
have been revealed. Go to Serebii.net for the details.
July 15, 2002 Guess what? That's right! Another Pokedex update! Yes
10 more pokemon were updated to version 4.0. That's 140 pokemon down, 111
to go. Trust me, it will start going fast.
July 13, 2002 Well we are back and with a pokedex update! 10 more
pokemon were added to the online pokedex 4.0. That means we have made it
past the half way point on pokemon numbers, but remember that once we get
to the Gold/Silver/Crystal pokemon our rate of speed should be faster
since there isn't as much information on them. Now I must go now and work
on the next 10 pokemon for tomorrow.
July 10, 2002 Well the pokedex didn't get updated like I wanted to
do yesterday. But you can be sure there will be an update when I get back
from vacation. I will be leaving later today so if you E-Mail me and don't
get a response from me, you know that I will be gone for a few days. I
should be back Saturday, possibly Friday. Anyway I thought I'd make a
short update before I leave. Today I joined another topsite list. Well bye
for now. Later! -_^
July 8, 2002 Once again the update today is Pokedex 4.0. 10 more
updated. 120 pokemon total. Also during this week, Haunter and I will be
away on a short vaction, so there will be a period where the site wont be
updated. I will try and have another 10 pokemon updated tomorrow.
July 6, 2002 Pokedex 4.0 was updated today with 10 more new pokemon!
Enjoy! ^_^ One other thing, there is a new poll that I put up yesterday.
If there is something about the pokedex that you don't like, now is your
chance to make your voice heard with this poll.
July 4, 2002 Okay everyone, the update for the offline pokedex is
now ready. You can now download v4.0 with pokemon 1-100 to your computer.
See the download page for details. And to all the fellow Americans out
there, I want you all to have a safe and fun Independence Day. Happy
birthday U.S.A.!
July 2, 2002 I have another pokedex 4.0 update for you all today!
There are now 100 pokemon that have been updated from version 3.2 to 4.0.
That means is almost time for another offline pokedex update. That should
be ready by July 4th.
July 1, 2002 The day has arrived. The day we show you the results of
the pokedex contest! The votes between GHPD and Pokemasters were close the
whole week, but in the end, GHPD was your favorite online pokedex. Thank
you all who helped submit the links and voting. Thank you Joeno, Elias,
Leslie, Ahmer Khan, and Mewthree_Armor for the links! Now then here are
more details of the results:

June 28, 2002 Pokedex 4.0 updated today with 10 more pokemon.
Pokemon 1-90 now available in v4.0! Something else that just happened the
other day, Serebii.net has re-opened its forums. Gengar is a member so
come on by. The number of members is growing fast. Don't be left out! Go
HERE and sign up! It
would be great if you mention something about Gengar94 sending ya there.
^_^
June 26, 2002 Another Pokedex update today. Pokemon 1-80 are now in
the new version of the pokedex. Many more to come...
June 24, 2002 We have another pokedex 4.0 update for you all today.
The online pokedex v4.0 now has 70 pokemon up-to-date. The poll is still
going on and we have gotten many votes in already. If you haven't voted
for your favorite pokedex yet, be sure to do so before it ends on June
29th!
June 22, 2002 Okay today we have began the poll to the best online
pokedex. Please go to the contest page and visit the 6 sites listed.
Then vote for your favorite pokedex. Please be honest in your voting. The
results will be released on June 30th. Now then, for other news, we have
updated the online pokedex a bit more with 10 more pokemon. Now pokemon
1-60 are in the version 4.0 stage. In case you didn't already know,
Pokedex 4.0 is available for download as of yesterday.
June 21, 2002 Today is the day everyone! The new Pokedex 4.0 is now
available for download! It includes Pokemon 1-50, plus the attacks and
abilities pages. If you want all the pokemon and pictures, you must have
Pokedex 3.1 or higher already installed on your computer. For further
instructions, go to the downloads page. Now about the online pokedex contest.
I was kind of disappointed on the number of participants that we had
during the submitting portion of the contest. We only had five submiters.
Oh well, maybe next year will be better. I should have a poll of some sort
ready tomorrow so everyone will be able to vote for the best online
pokedex on the web. Oh and one other thing, I have noticed that a few of
you have helped get the word out about our own pokedex at both
gamefaqs.com and pokemasters.net. Good work ~_^
June 18, 2002 It seems the site was down for a good portion of
yesterday. Well everything seems to be working again. Since the site was
down yesterday, I decided to extend the contest submitting by one day.
Instead of today being the last day, I am going to make tomorrow the last
day. Anyway, today I have added 10 more pokemon to Pokedex 4.0. Pokemon
1-50 are now done. That means that their will be a downloadable version of
these 50 pokemon soon. Remember that for every 50 pokemon that are added
to the online pokedex, there will be a downloadable version of the 50. I
should have that ready for download by Friday, June 21.
June 17, 2002 Yesterday and today I worked hard to get the egg move
section done. So you can now find out how to get a pokemon a certain egg
move on all the baby pokemon. I am now going back to concentrating on the
pokedex once again. You may also want to come by in the next few days
because I will be releasing Pokemon 1-50 for an offline version of pokedex
4.0 sometime later this week. Also a reminder, the Pokedex Contest will be
ending its submitting at 11:59 PM (-6 GMT) tomorrow.
June 15, 2002 I added a bit more of information on the contest page. If you
are planning to enter the contest or have already entered, please read the
updated page. It now contains information on what we will be rating on
each online pokedex.
June 14, 2002 I have a new section for you today. It is rather
small, but you might find useful. I called it pokemon index. It is a chart
with all the pokemon listed and tells which gameboy games the pokemon can
be found. I will continue tomorrow by working on the pokedex and the
breeding section again. Also note that there is only 4 more days for you
to submit the pokedex links in the contest, so if you are interested in
submitting, read the rules and go for it! I still need many more
links!
June 12, 2002 Well the contest has already started as most of you
know. I have already received 4 sites from 2 people as I am typing this.
Not bad. All the sites have been approved. Thanks you two for your sites.
Keep the submittions coming you all. Only 6 more days are left. I know
that most of you are waiting till the last few days, since you are looking
for the best pokedexes very carefully, right? ~_^ I also have a little
something new that you all might find cool. It is a guestmap. Check out
the link under the "other stuff" heading.
June 10, 2002 Last week I mentioned about having a special contest.
Well the contest begins tomorrow! The link to the contest rules can be
found under the "Site Extras" heading, at our index (splash) page and
right Here. ^_^ Be
sure to read through the rules and instructions. The contest will be
opened throughout the next few weeks and it starts at midnight tonight
(June 11 @ 12:00 AM CST -6GMT).
June 7, 2002 I have another update for you all today. Today 10 more
pokemon were added to pokedex 4.0. There are now 40 pokemon completed.
~_^
June 5, 2002 Well it has been awhile since more pokemon were added
to the pokedex. But not to worry because today I added the next 10
pokemon! ^_^
June 4, 2002 Today and the past few days, I have been working on the
pokedex and updating a few other small things on the site. You may have
noticed that the index page of this site has a better layout. I have also
been planning some sort of contest that will be held here. I wont give any
of the details just yet. Just know to come by next week when I plan to
start the contest.
June 1, 2002 Gosh it is hard to believe that it is already June!
What a quick year this is going to be! Anyway, today I updated parts 6 and
7 in the egg move section. I should have another update ready for you
tomorrow. Later everyone. ~_^
May 30, 2002 Yesterday and today I continued to work on P40. Today I
also updated parts 4 and 5 in the egg move section. One other thing I
added today was a background information page about Gengar and Haunter
themselves and the site. If you want to know more about us or the site, be
sure to read it. It is located under the "other stuff" heading.
May 28, 2002 Today I updated the third page in the breeding moves
section. I also continued to work more on P40 (new code meaning Pokedex
4.0).
May 26, 2002 Summer Vacation has begun. And I have an update for you
all today. Today pokemon 11 through 20 were added to Pokedex 4.0. I also
added the explainations to the egg moves page for the first two pages.
May 19, 2002 Yesterday I told you about a new feature. You ready to
find out what it is? Well it is a section on breeding information and egg
moves! Now you don't have to wait for pokedex 4.0 to get to find out what
moves pokemon can learn through breeding. Be sure to check it out. Breeding
Information/Egg Moves
May 18, 2002 The past few weeks I have been real busy. But this week
will be my last week of school so I should have more time to work on the
pokedex. I am also working on another smaller project that I'm sure you
will all find very helpful. It will probably be ready in the next few
days. We also have 2 new affiliates: Pokemon
Connections and Allen's Poke Palace! One last thing, I gave a speech on
Nintendo during my speech class yesterday. In it, I included this site! It
was also my final speech of this year. ^_^
May 4, 2002 I am officially opening Pokedex 4.0 today! There is only
10 pokemon available now, but if you read the last update, you would know
that I'm going to update 10 pokemon at a time. As for the downloadable
version of 4.0, I think I'll update that after the online version is done.
But I may change my mind and release parts of it sooner than that. Let us
know if something doesn't work for you. Enjoy! ^_^
April 29, 2002 Over the past weekend, I was able to work on more of
the pokedex. In doing so, I realized how much work I will have over this
summer. Lots. I know how excited a lot of you are for pokedex 4.0 to be
available. So therefore, I have decided on a system of how I'm going to
update it. I am going to release 10 pokemon at a time. I will work on the
10 pokemon then I will make it available. If you have signed up for our
mailing list, you will be contacted every time a new set of pokemon are
done. If all goes well, I plan on having the pokedex 4.0 to be done
sometime at the end of the summer or early fall. Since it all depends on
how fast I work and how much time I have, the date of completion will
vary. So that is why I decided to release 10 pokemon at a time. That makes
it seem like it will get done faster. Now for the downloadable version, I
may decide something different. Maybe for every 50 pokemon a patch would
be released, or I'll release it all at once. Well just have to wait and
see. ~_^
Now for other news, we have a new affiliate, SIVPH!
April 26, 2002 Well I have finally officially began working on the
pokemon entries to pokedex 4.0. I can tell you that it will be a long time
till it is completely finished. So I have decided that for every 10
pokemon I get finished, I will make them available for you all to use. But
this is only for the online pokedex. I talk more about this later. Anyway
I would like to let you all know that we have a new affiliate, Pokemon
Headquarters!
I don't know about you all, but I have been
getting tons of viruses in my e-mail lately. They all are that Klez virus.
Please make sure you all have your anti-virus software updated. ;)
April 23, 2002 I have been real busy during the past few weeks, so
there isn't a major update or anything. I did work on the pokedex 4.0 last
weekend though. Still a long way to go. Anyway there has been a lot of
viruses going around through E-Mail. I myself have caught 3 viruses in my
E-Mail in the past 3 days. All of them was the W32/Klez.h@MM worm. For
more information on this virus, Click Here. Please, make sure you check your computer
for viruses. I have received the virus from evyaco, mary-jones, and
tr_brock. If this is you, definitely check your computers with an updated
anti-virus software.
April 11, 2002 Yes there was a problem with the downloads page. I
wasn't able to modify the page at all. It was weird because I could not
replace, delete, rename, or anything to the file. I looks though like an
network admin. fixed the problem now. So everything should be working
again. Besides that, I had to update today because we have a new
affiliate, PokeValley.com! This site is under construction at the
moment, so you will have to be patient to see it. Also, you should know
that I will be out of town April 12-14. So if you send me an e-mail during
that time, you wont get a response back till Monday, April
15.
Catch you all later. ~_^
April 8, 2002 Another update is available today. Patch 3 is
available. Go to the download page to download it. Make sure
you read the description under it first though, since not everyone will
need it.
April 4, 2002 Today, I have an update for all you who have
downloaded the offline pokedex. If you have downloaded the pokedex before
today, please download the patch listed in the downloads page to get the latest update.
In this update, the error of showing the wrong TMs in the RBY section was
fixed. Only the pokemon files included in this patch had this error. If
you haven't downloaded our offline pokedex yet, you should consider
downloading it. It is great for quick reference. I have also enjoyed
getting all of your comments to our site and offline pokedex lately!
Thanks for all your support!
March 23, 2002 We broke record hits for this site yesterday, then we
broke yesterday's record today! I can't believe how many visitors were
going to the wrong page for so long. If Google, Yahoo, MSN, and all the
other search engines would hurry up and update our site's
url...
Anway, I got a e-mail today saying that they were having
trouble downloading the pokedex because it was a link to our ftp server.
It suppose to work, but if it doesn't work for you, I put a second link
for the http server instead. Also, because of the number of hits we have
been getting lately, I'd like to mirror our downloadable pokedex. So if
you want to help us by mirroring our pokedex, please contact us.
March 22, 2002 Wow, we sure have had a lot of hits the past few
days! We already have broke this site's record today, and there is still 6
hours left of today. The reason is I found out from many emails that I
have been getting the past few weeks, that many search engines are still
linking to our old server. So what I did was put a redirecting script on
all the pages at our old server. Most emails I was getting were dealing
with people not being able to download the pokedex. That was because they
were on the old site. That shouldn't pose anymore problems anymore. Now
you may have noticed that there is now a mailing list. (see above) We also
joined another topsite list. One last thing, please vote in the poll if
you haven't already, so I know what you want most in the next version of
the pokedex!
March 17, 2002 Happy St. Patrick's Day! It has been quite awhile
since I have been able to update this site. If you have tried coming here
during the past week or so, you would have noticed that we were down for
awhile. That was due to server maintenance. We had to also reupload all
350+ of our pages on a 56K connection which takes a lot of time. The
server is suppose to be faster now. So if you have e-mailed us in the past
week and haven't received a reply from us, then chances are we didn't get
your message. And before all this stuff with the server being down, my
computer got a virus and I was forced to reformat my computer. Luckly all
important files I had backed up on CD, including this site. What a mess
that would of been huh? Not only would I of had lost the files on the
server, I would have lost the files on my computer! Just one reason I'm
glad I bought a CD-RW a few months back. :)
Update: We have a new affiliate, Umbreon's Cavern! One
other thing, if you voted in the new poll before or haven't voted in the
poll, please vote again/now since the information was lost when our site
was down.
March 2, 2002 Hello everyone. Today we have affiliated with Pokemon 706! We
have also updated our buttons. Both our affiliates/link button and
topsites button have a new look and the files are smaller in size since I
decided to take out the animation. Another thing, if you have not voted in
the new poll, please do so.
February 27, 2002 Today this site has been opened to the public for
exactly two years! That's right GHPD has been online for another year. I
is pretty hard to believe on how much this site has evolved over the
years. Especially the pokedex portion. Going from version 1.0 (do you
remember? The list of all the original 150 pokemon with there numbers?),
up to where we are today offering a detailed downloadable pokedex. And
don't think that we are through, we are still a long ways from being
finished here. Till next update! Later.
Update: Please take a small bit of your time to
vote on a poll that I just posted up. The poll deals with the next version
of the pokedex. Please vote so we know what you want most out of version
4.0. Click here to vote (link will open in new
window).
Want to wish us a happy birthday? Then email us at
gengar@pokemondungeon.com
and/or haunter@pokemondungeon.com.
February 23, 2002 Our new host is so much better than the previous.
Since it is getting close to this site's 2 year anniversary, I made a new
banner. I also updated our animated banner.
Now, since we have our
own domain name, our address shouldn't change anytime soon. Therefore, now
would be a great time to help out our site. If you have a nintendo, video
game, or pokemon site, please link to us. We are also going to be
looking for more affiliates, so feel free to send
us an application about your site!
February 10, 2002 It has been over a month since this site's last
update. You may have noticed that we have changed services once again.
This time though we are on a paid service, so there are no annoying
popups, banners, and we have our own domain! Here is something else you
will all like, you should now be able to download the offline pokedex
directly from our new server! Please make sure you update your
favorites/bookmark link to match http://www.pokemondungeon.com/
!
Update: The download problem was
solved!
January 4, 2002 For the first update of the new year I have some
great news. The Offline Pokedex is available for download once again! Go
to the download page for the new instructions on how to
download it.
December 31, 2001 Not a big update today, but I thought I'd update
one last time in the year 2001. I hope you all have had happy holidays and
hope you have a happy new year! Over my Christmas break I have been mostly
playing my new Nintendo GameCube, which is so great! :) We have Super
Smash Bros. Melee and Luigi's Mansion right now. I'm hoping to get the
Starwars game for my birthday. Now as for the site not much has been
changed, but you probably have noticed I have removed and updated a few
things on this page. I also have been continuing to work on Pokedex 4.0.
Currently, I'm working on the Advantages section. See you all again in
2002!
December 9, 2001 I spent some time today working on Version 4.0 of
the pokedex. I have been working on the advantages section of the pokedex
entries, which will take awhile. Still no luck with the downloadable
pokedex. I think we will have to go with Kturn.com to offer it. Check by
for more updates on this. Also I'm sure you all have heard about PokemonCenter.com. If you haven't go check it
out for your self.
December 2, 2001 Well, I had some luck of finding a file sharing
site that would suite our needs. I found a service known as Kturn.com that
would work for us, but you must sign up with Kturn.com before being able
to download anything. I emailed our host (freewebsites.com) the other day,
about this problem and am currently waiting for a response. I'm hoping
they can help us out and tell us more. I'll let you know when the
downloads are back up or if we decide to use Kturn.
November 29, 2001 I am sure that most of you are aware of the
Downloadable Pokedex error. No one has been able to download the files. I
believe that our host (freewebsites.com) has been having problems with
.zip files or something. So this weekend I'll be finding another way to
offer the Downloadable Pokedex. I have a few ideas in mind. So just keep
checking by during this weekend.
November 17, 2001 If you didn't already know, Pukacho has
discontinued the news. You can get details at the board. Today I updated the layout a bit. But the
main reason for this minor update was to remind you that Nintendo GameCube
is released tomorrow! (Nov. 18)
November 9, 2001 Well we are finally back up and running again.
Sorry about all the problems our site has been having lately. Our host was
having some problems last week. Our shortcut address
(http://continue.to/pokemon) was also having problems. But everything
should be working again now. I would also like to mention that if you have
downloaded our pokedex before today, you may notice that Aerodactyl was
linked to the wrong picture. To fix this go to our downloads section and download
patch1.zip .
October 20, 2001 Today is another milestone for GHPD. Our offline
version of the pokedex is now available for download! Go to our new downloads section
to download it!
October 14, 2001 Sorry about not updating for awhile. I was taking a
break from this site, and I have been busy with my school work. But anyway
I'm back to updating again. Today I began working on a downloadable
pokedex. Yes, you read right. I am putting together an offline version of
the pokedex. It was suggested at our ezboard and I have had an idea of
doing this for a long time now. You wont have to wait very long either
because I plan on having it done by this Friday. I'll give you all more
details later...
September 30, 2001 Well it has been a long time once again since the
last update. I thought I'd let you in on what's been going on here. First
off we are affiliating with Dragonite's Forest, but we haven't been able
to go there to get the site's button. What happens is we get to the site's
main page and then our browser crashes. I'm thinking that there is a
script at that site that doesn't work with Internet Explorer 6.0. Click
Here to visit our new affiliate. Also the database version of the
pokedex is mostly done, just have to fill in all the pokedex entries. I'm
currently working on the code for the weaknesses of all the pokemon. Then
I'll be working on the advantage's code. You may also have noticed that
there are halloween colors on this page. :)
September 17, 2001 Been a long time since the last report on what
I've been up to. For one thing, the attack with the World Trade Center and
Pentagon has kept we watching the TV. Another thing is homework. I had
lots of tough tests to study for last week. My weekends are usually the
only time I get to update. Since I had some time today, I decided to let
you know what I'm working on. The only thing that I've been working on is
that database I told you all about last update. It is about 50% complete,
so you can figure that it may be awhile until the next real update. I'll
try to keep you posted on my progress.
Along with this update, I
would like to say that we here at GHPD are giving our deepest thoughts for
those who fell victim in the terrible tragedy in America.
For older updates, please contact Gengar at the forums.
.
He will gladly send you the older updates file. It is in .txt format. The
updates started June 13, 2000. |
