This article is from the first issue of Planet GB, a UK magazine dedicated to Game Boy coverage. This Pokemon Preview was published in the Summer of 1999 edition before the UK had any form of Pokémon videogame released. Even the magazines at the time were encouraging their readers to approach importers and get U.S copies of the games as they'd already been out in the states for a while at this point. For those who were holding firm for the official releases however previews like this one simply had to do!
